“I’ve been seeing Regina general massage about one year. I spoke with her about my right shoulder having a mind of its own, chronically raising up while the left shoulder stayed down, especially when I was driving. I would mindfully lower it, but soon as I stopped thinking about it, my shoulder returned to a tense position.
“Regina shifted gears from usual massage techniques, and said we would try Somato-Emotional Release. She had me lie on my back and gently supported my right arm. First, she asked me to mentally travel down and up my arm and notice if there were any place where it felt like the flow was blocked. To my surprise, an area above my bicep felt ‘empty’. She asked me if any previous experiences came to mind that might be connected to my shoulder rising involuntarily. Two came to mind: My older brother coming up behind me, grabbing my elbows and kneeing me in my tail bone, and my father behind me smacking me on the right side of my head {neither of which ended up being connected to my shoulder).
“She allowed my arm to move very gently and subtly. As she continued, I remembered riding in the car back in the early 70’s– in the early 70’s with my then husband. I was so distressed that I repeatedly banged the right side of my head and right shoulder against the passenger window. The context of my distress was:
“We were college sweethearts (I still consider him my soulmate). We married after he returned from 2 years in Vietnam. Before his departure we were incredibly close and emotionally intimate. On his return he was emotionally shut down and distant. He kept the blinds closed during the day believing the military was watching him. Knowledge and acceptance of PTSD didn’t exist in those days. I knew he still loved me, but I couldn’t feel it – which was devastating to me. I was naïve and insecure enough to believe his change meant I was unlovable.
“Regina simply continued to support and gently move my arm as I tearfully told her what I was remembering. She stopped a couple of times when my arm tensed and waited until it wanted to move again. At one point my right had started trembling and twitching like it was possessed! I watched it do whatever it wanted, and eventually it stopped. Rather bizarre, but I trusted that it was part of a healing, releasing old distress process. My hand finally just relaxed. We ended our session soon after. What a remarkable experience!
“So, I’ve driven my car several times since our session, and my right shoulder mainly remains relaxed. If it does start to get tense, a moment of mindfulness allows it to easily relax and stay so. My final thought – Our bodies remember, even when we consciously don’t.”

“I’m always amazed how deep CranioSacral Therapy works. Even though it’s light touch I feel like I had a deep tissue massage.”

“I have never quite experienced a massage like this! Regina is absolutely gifted at what she does and helped get me back to 100% after an accident. The craniosacral massage was so amazing for neck stiffness, lack of mobility, and stress. In addition to that it helped my chronic ear infections go away and stay away longer. I would recommend her services to anyone!”

“Regina has been an amazing blessing to my spiritual, physical and mental health during my journey with pancreatic cancer. She is so much more than a massage therapist! I always feel better after our sessions and beyond. I highly recommend her.”

“I have been fortunate enough to be getting massage from Regina for about five years. She treats at a clinic where I can choose between several very skilled practitioners but I have come to request Regina every time because she is such a healer. She has treated me for several acute injuries as well as for general relaxation and wellness and she never disappoints. Her attunement with the rhythms of my body is a wonder to behold and I have really enjoyed her CranioSacral work as well as her work with tuning forks. I often can’t resist conversing with Regina while I’m on the massage table and I just adore her intelligence, compassion and ability to connect on many levels.”

“When I arrived for my first treatment, I was in excruciating pain from the left side of my neck, upper back, and down through my left arm and hand. It was unbearable and I was in tears most of the day. After my first treatment, I can’t say the pain disappeared, but it eased; which was a big step for my recovery. I hadn’t slept more than an hour and half each night for nearly two-weeks and I was desperate. That first night, I was actually able to get a few more hours of sleep and the pain, like I said, was not as bad. It was definitely still there, though. After several treatments I was able to get a full nights rest and the healing truly began. I am a big proponent now of such treatment and would encourage anyone to seek it out. I truly believe that the tuning fork acupuncture was essential to my healing and don’t think I would have recovered as quickly as I did without it. So, THANK YOU!!!“
